چکیده
Royal jelly (RJ) is reflecting the flora around apiaries as a result of foraging activity honeybees and therefore, pollen analysis could be used to verify its botanical/geographical origin. Colon cancer treatment by means chemotherapeutics agents reflects substantial problem for organism due high toxicity other viable cells body. To explore chemopreventive approach enhancing colon efficacy, antioxidant antiproliferative effects RJ in HT-29 were assessed. Cell proliferation was performed WST-1 assay, index apoptosis calculated TUNEL Assay, activities examined through reactive oxygen species (ROS), lipid peroxidation (LPO), total status (TAS) levels superoxide dismutase (SOD) catalase activities. Expression caspase-3 protein analysed via immunohistochemical staining, mRNA apoptotic antiapoptotic genes studied qRT-PCR western blotting experiments, respectively. led increase ROS LPO levels, decrease SOD activity, TAS level, activation, upregulation proteins intrinsic extrinsic pathway (Bax, cyt-c, p53, NF?B, cas-3, -6, -8, -9, -10) downregulation Bcl-2 both at transcriptional translational levels. Although there are several studies on physicochemical properties composition royal jelly, melissopalynological limited. In this study, we also investigated content use geographical origin determination.

Anticancer activity of Doxorubicin conjugated to polymer/carbon based-nanohybrid against MCF-7 breast and HT-29 colon cancer cells
The Cancer is one of the world’s most devastating diseases. Doxorubicin (DOX) is an effective chemotherapeutic drug; however, its toxicity is a significant limitation in therapy. Due to the severe side effects of chemotherapy drugs, scientists have tried to load these drugs in nanocomposites. This paper describes a facile and low cost approach for preparation polymeric biodegradable nanohybrid ...
متن کاملGC- MS analysis and anticancer effect against MCF-7 and HT-29 cell lines and antioxidant, antimicrobial and wound healing activities of plant- derived compounds
Introduction: Antioxidants are compounds that eliminate free radicals, which reduce tissue damage and allow the organs and blood vessels to properly heal. In this research, the anticancer effect against MCF-7 and HT-29 cell lines, and antioxidant, antimicrobial and wound healing activities of the lichens extracts have been investigated. Materials and methods: Anticancer activity was assayed wi...
متن کاملRapid Delivery of Gold Nanoparticles into Colon Cancer HT-29 Cells by Electroporation: In-vitro Study
Background: Electroporation has become a routine technique for rapid drug delivery for the treatment of cancer. Because of its simplicity and wide range of application, it has been applied for the transfer of gold-nanoparticles and can facilitate entry into target cancer cells. Objective: The aim of this study is finding optimal conditions in order to obtain high GNPs- uptake and cell via...
متن کاملEffects of CD133 Silencing on Survival and Migration of HT-29 Colorectal Cancer Cells
Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is attributed as one of the most common malignancies worldwide. CD133 molecule, as a pentaspan transmembrane glycoprotein, confers stem cell-related characteristics, including self-renewal and multi-directional differentiation capability. CD133 plays important roles in the progression of CRC by conferring apoptotic resistance and migration ab...
متن کاملgold nanoparticle and mean inactivation dose of human intestinal colon cancer ht-29 cells
conclusions due to the significant reduction in the mean inactivation dose of colon cancer cells in the presence of gold nanoparticles, it seems that gnps are suitable options to achieve a new approach in order to improve radiotherapy efficiency without increasing the prescribed radiation dose. results cell survival in the presence of gnps was more than 90% and the maximum uptake of gnps was ob...
